I don't know. The trial seemed like a waste of time, attempting to read the book was a waste of time, and now a judge is squeezing his last 15 minutes of fame with....another colossal waste of time.
Doesn't this take something away from the whole legal process, turning the judgement into a mind game? What if this catches on? "Before pronoucing sentence, check out this cartoon me and the other jurors drew. It's the rape victim in a funny hat."
I just don't like it, on some sort of visceral level. I just don't like it.

I gotta go with E on this one. As if we're not mixing "entertainment" into enough of society. I don't care how clever the judge thought he was at the time. It isn't what he's paid to do. Wrong forum. Bad idea. And a waste of time.
