Just realized I never posted my decision regarding Lent, thereby making it far easier for me not to follow through with it.
I had a hard time this year deciding what I was going to do. In the end I determined to read through the New Testament by Easter. I'm behind already. It's pretty different trying to add something to your life rather than trying to subtract something out -- both easier and harder so far. I don't usually do well with reading commitments so this, although extremely simple, will stretch me a bit.

Jed, you were inspiring to me. I also was having a hard time deciding what to do for Lent. I appreciated your perspective on adding something. I chosen to add too, not the whole New Testament, but added prayer.
Boy, I hope you're doing better with this than I am -- I can't even tell you how far behind I am at this point.
