Looks like everybody else has beat me to the punch, but I'd like to say it too: Happy Thanksgiving. Like me, all of you, my computer-using blog readers, have much to be thankful for.
And of course, don't forget that Buy Nothing Day is observed tomorrow -- be strong!! :-) I was at Best Buy last night and there were people already sitting out in camping chairs to be first in line for the big sales -- wow.

So far so good -- it's around noon and I've Bought Nothing.
While we're deconsuming, how about a Give Something Away day?
I'm a failure. I got hungry and bought lunch. Can I be forgiven? Oh, and gas, too, because my car wasn't gonna make it til tomorrow. Does it make up for it if I go and check books out at the library tonight, rather than buying them?
@ clint: good call, what day shall we pick for GSA Day?
@ ryan: you're an abject failure and all the library checkouts in the world won't save you now. If it makes you feel any better, they won't save my wife either, who spent all night awake with a sick baby and 'discovered' that some Black Friday deals are available online too...
I bought hockey tickets. And an oil change.
Oh the huge manatee!
Neal, your problems are bigger than BN Day if you're buying hockey tickets. They still play that game??
Well, it's minor league hockey. WHL, same league the Winterhawks are in. It's much better watching these guys play, because they're playing for a shot at something big.
How about Dec 1, this Saturday? First day of the most commercialized month of the year...
Hey, can I just say that I was purchasing from people- not corporations... talented artists trying to support their families by creating beautiful things!
hmph!
